

The white belt is an introductory belt level. Basic skills are taught and developed. Emphasis is placed on self control and focus.
The yellow belt introduces the student to the fundamentals while allowing the student to achieve a marked increase in physical conditioning.
As an orange belt, the student begins to create and develop speed and power in kicks and punches, while blocks and counter-punches are executed with amazing effectiveness. It takes the average student about eight months to earn an orange belt.
At the purple belt level, the student begins to learn free-style sparring with a marked increase in overall confidence. The student is now on the way to earning a black belt. It takes the average about one year to earn a purple belt.
At the blue belt level, the student continues to gain skill in free-style sparring and the application of self-defense.
At the green belt level, the student's posture and body stance will express new-found confidence and both the hands and feet will become effective weapons. It takes the average student about 24 months to earn a green belt.
As a brown belt, the student's mental and emotional outlook is deepened and confidence is greatly increased with development of expertise in the martial arts. A brown belt takes about three years to earn.
Finally, the black belt is the ultimate achievement in rank. Upon reaching this standard, the student has earned lifelong benefits, quick reflexes, superb instincts, amazing speed and devastating power. It takes the average student between three and five years to earn a black belt.
