2010 Team Fitness Challenge

Team Formation:
- Each team should have 4 members.- At least 2 team members should be students at Aurora Martial Arts.
- Team members do not need to be the same age or belt rank.
- Choose a team name and a team captain (must be a student).
- The captain will be responsible for gathering the fitness information and turning it in on a monthly basis.
Fitness Challenge:
- The areas that need to be tracked are: Push-ups, Sit-ups, Practice, Exercise.- Points will be awarded in each area based on the monthly totals.
- Push-ups: keep track of the number of push-ups you do each day.
- Sit-ups: keep track of the number of sit-ups you do each day.
- Practice: record the number of minutes that you practice Karate each day.
- Exercise: record the number of minutes that you exercise each day.
(Exercise is a focused activity where the intent is fitness)
~~You do not need to work in each area every day.~~
Tracking your Progress:
Each team member should keep a record of their own work. The Team Captain will be responsible for gathering the monthly team totals and turning the information in by the first Friday of each month. Once received, all totals will be divided by 10 to determine points. Non-Students do not need “practice” time. Students will only receive credit for exercise if they have an equal amount of practice time. Information and tracking forms will be available online for all participants before January.Recognition:
This challenge is for the full year of 2010. The top teams each month will be recognized on the Leader Board. We are working on establishing Awards and Prizes, more details will follow.Track Your Progress
